They are called the Beatles of Bullshit. Either the best comedy hip hop group ever made or the worst, depending on who you ask. Formed sometime in the AD, Wasabi and the Flab Pirates is a group that consists of Eli Smith, Billie Dean Shoemate III, and someone named Wasabi. They make comedy hip hop albums - delivering absurd, side-splitting, strange, purposefully cringy, and even sometimes oddly emotional music. They hold the distinct honor of creating the mumble rap genre. "We started it as a joke, and someone somewhere took it seriously," the band's manager is quoted as saying. He was high on bath salts at the time, but their claim to fame in inventing mumble rap is entirely true. The group went viral in 2020 when they released 'SLEEP: Relaxation for Psychopaths,' an album jokingly marketed and sold as a sleep/relaxation aid. The album starts off relaxing and slowly gets worse the more the album progresses. The album skyrocketed to number one in that genre for the first week (out of the three relaxation albums released that week) and stayed there for an amazing 16 weeks. Since then, they have released two more albums and are currently working on their fourth, 'Songs in the Key of Beef.'
